The New York Jets have signed two offensive linemen coming out of rookie minicamp. They signed tackles Chris Bordelon, of Nicholls State, and Ben Braden, of Michigan, to work on the outside of the Jets’ line.
They are two of 39 players that tried out in rookie minicamp.
For the 2017 Jets’ offensive line, they signed Kelvin Beachum to play left tackle, forcing re-signed Ben Ijalana into a battle with Brandon Shell on the right side. The Jets also waived O-Lineman Donald Hawkins.
Whether the two new members of the Jets make the final 53-man roster, the practice squad, or don’t even end up making the team, it’s a great story of persistence to receive a contract offer when the odds were so far against it.
