Yankees Need To Finish What They Started And Sweep The Blue Jays

August 16, 2015

I wrote on Friday how the New York Yankees would sweep the Toronto Blue Jays, and after two dramatic victories to start the three-game series, the Bronx Bombers are just one win away from making that prediction a reality.

The Yankees have taken the air right out of the Blue Jays' balloon and now must finish what they started.

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons, who has become a good manger this time around compared to his first go-around, is as tough guy and his team takes on that personality. His players respect him. Which is even more the reason why the Yankees need to finish off the sweep Sunday and not give any life to a team that right now is in shock after losing the past two games at home.

You can never compare how the Yankees teams from the late 90's would put teams away in situations such as this, but if this year's team wants to go far and do what those 90's teams did, which is win the World Series, then Sunday afternoon they must get the job done and finish off the sweep.
