Giants at Rams Preview: GameDay Staff Picks Winner Against Spread

December 20, 2014

The New York Giants took advantage of the schedule to win two straight games, against horrible teams in Tennessee and Washington, the last two weeks. The competition gets stiffer in Week 16, however, as the Giants travel to St. Louis to take on the Rams Sunday. Our GameDay Is Here staff gives their predictions on the game. To make actual wagers on this game and more, click here.

New York Giants (5-9) at St. Louis Rams (6-8)

Sunday, 4:05 p.m., FOX

Betting Line: Giants +6.5

Brad Carroll (11-3 straight up, 9-5 vs. spread)

Rams 27, Giants 20

Odell Beckham will be good for two touchdowns in this game, but overall, the Rams are better in nearly every way. The Rams play great defense and have a solid rushing attack. The difference between them having six wins right now and challenging for a playoff spot could just be a quarterback, which they don't have. The Giants make it a game, but it's tough to win in St. Louis, and the Rams win by a touchdown.

Matt Straub (7-7, 6-8)

Rams 24, Giants 21

The Rams, while bad, might be a tick better than the Giants. Not a touchdown better, though.

Craig Carroll (10-5, 8-7)

Giants 28, Redskins 17

St. Louis is a different animal at home on defense and it will be able to pressure Eli Manning into a couple of turnovers and Tre Mason will spark the offense just enough to outscore New York.

Glenn Carroll (8-5, 6-7)

Giants 35, Rams 24

If the Giants weren't so bad there would be talk all around the league of Eli Manning and Odell Beckham being one of the best connections in the game. If the Giants O-Line can give Eli time, Beckham will be open for another big game.
