Steelers At Jets Preview: GameDay Staff Picks Winner Against Spread

November 6, 2014

The reeling New York Jets, with general manager John Idzik under siege by an angry fan base, return home for a game with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10. Our GameDay Is Here staff gives their predictions on the game. To make actual wagers on this game and more, click here.

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3) at New York Jets (1-8)

Sunday, 1 p.m., CBS

Betting Line: Jets +6

Brad Carroll (6-3 straight up, 4-5 vs. spread)

Steelers 35, Jets 28

This game has the potential to end very badly for the Jets, as all Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger does now is throw touchdown passes. He passed for six each in his last two games, against the Colts and Ravens, so there's no telling how many he could get against the horrible Jets secondary. While the Steelers will get their points on offense, the Jets will make this a close game, but ultimately the end result will be the same. Jets lose.

Matt Straub (4-5, 4-5)

Steelers 35, Jets 13

Big Ben is the hottest quarterback in football right now. The Jets have a makeshift secondary to say the least. This score might be low.

Craig Carroll (5-4, 5-4)

Steelers 27, Jets 14

New York is about to set the franchise record for consecutive losses, as they go for their ninth straight Sunday. Big Ben and the Steelers come in as one of the hottest teams in the NFL, with Roethlisberger throwing six touchdowns in back to back games. He will look to feast on the league's worst pass defense in the Jets.

Glenn Carroll (5-2, 4-3)

Steelers 42, Jets 13

Ben Roethlisberger is hot and the Jets only play with seven defenders, so this game won't even be close.
