Jets At Chiefs Preview: GameDay Staff Picks Winner Against Spread

October 30, 2014

The all-but-eliminated New York Jets travel to Kansas City for a game with the Chiefs in Week 9. Our GameDay Is Here staff gives their predictions on the game.

New York Jets (1-7) at Kansas City Chiefs (4-3)

Sunday, 1 p.m., CBS

Betting Line: Jets +10

Brad Carroll (5-3 straight up, 3-5 vs. spread)

Chiefs 28, Jets 14

The Jets are a beaten and battered bunch that know full-well their season is over with eight games still to be played. The team is so bad, they won't even be able to fight for Rex Ryan's job again like they did last uear. Playing at Arrowhead against a playoff contender will just make matters worse for the Green and White. Big loss for the Jets, but a loss that is needed for Jets fans to finally get a real franchise quarterback in the upcoming draft.

Matt Straub (3-5, 3-5)

Chiefs 35, Jets 17

Because if the Jets didn't put up any fight last week when they still had a chance, why would I expect them to now?

Craig Carroll (4-4, 4-4)

Chiefs 31, Jets 20

New quarterback for New York but it still won't change the fate of this failed season. The Jets are just plain bad right now. The Chiefs are playing their best ball of the season, and being at home, they should win soundly against the Jets.

Glenn Carroll (4-2, 3-3)

Chiefs 42, Jets 14

The only thing worse than a Jets loss is a Jets win. Good thing for Jets fans this team stinks.
