Giants At Cowboys Preview: GameDay Staff Picks Winner Against Spread

October 18, 2014

The New York Giants travel to Dallas for a Week 7 Sunday game against the Cowboys. Our GameDay Is Here staff gives their predictions on the game.

New York Giants (3-3) at Dallas Cowboys (5-1)

Sunday, 4:25 p.m., FOX

Betting Line: Giants +6.5

Brad Carroll (5-1 straight up, 5-1 vs. spread)

Cowboys 28, Giants 17

The Cowboys could be the most complete team in the NFL, with a solid QB in Tony Romo, a great RB in DeMarco Murray, a great WR in Dez Bryant, and a defense that is pretty darn good as well. The Giants have reverted back to the team that was considered one of the worst in the NFL after Week 2, getting beaten badly by the Eagles last week. The competition is much better than it was for their three-game win streak. Cowboys win going away.

Matt Straub (2-4, 2-4)

Cowboys 31, Giants 21

I'm a believer in Dallas after it won in Seattle and I dont think the shorthanded Giants can do more than put up a fight.

Craig Carroll (4-2, 3-3)

Cowboys 31, Giants 20

Dallas could very well be the best team in the NFC, with arguably the best offensive line and running back in the leauge. The Giants, on the other hand, are a lot closer to the team that started 0-2 than the one that went 2-0 after. Rivalry games always seem to be tight game, but not this time as Dallas rolls.

Glenn Carroll (3-2, 3-2)

Cowboys 31, Giants 28

Giants try to rally, but DeMarco Murray is too much for them to handle. Odell Beckham Jr. and Eli Manning will have big games, but not enough to overcome the new Cowboys, who are finally putting together a more balanced offense, similar to the Troy Aikman-Emmitt Smith days.
